SC FARMS LIMITED

CROP PRODUCTION SERVICES

SC Farms Limited was incorporated as part of our decentralization and restructuring of activities under SC Agric in 2022.

SC Farms Limited was created with a clear focus to manage all primary production investments of the group, to backwards
integrate crop production activities based on the huge demand from our trading company SC Trade & Export Ltd to fulfil various
commodities contracts signed with both local and international buyers/ processors.

SC Farm has established farm sites in Adamawa and Edo states for primary production of paddy rice, soybean (for domestic consumption)
and sesame (for export), the target includes 2 crop cycles per year using both irrigation and rainfall for water supply, satellite filed monitoring and improved crop production techniques to achieve maximum yield.

We maximize crop performance and overall productivity through seed selection, crop health monitoring, mechanization and farm management activities

THE USE OF COMMUNITY-INCLUSIVE MODEL

The farm’s operational model is a commercial but community inclusive model, this means that we provide the operational structure, mechanization, input and labor, while engaging the community youths (male and female) to manage the farms in assigned sections
such as 10 Ha per farmer under the supervision of the SC FARM team. The farmers will earn a monthly minimum wage and also
end of season bonuses based on productivity level for their allocated sections.

This model has already been tested in the same location for 2 seasons, it has shown improved communication, cooperation, commitment and honesty.
